Convergence was an in-house project from the dev team at Riptide to create a visual, drag-and-drop meeting management application for some of our financial services clients.

1-on-1 meetings are typically scheduled by the hundred at large annual industry conferences and the cost of managing those meetings runs as high as two hundred and fifty thousand dollars per year for many firms.

Our flash-based application, driven on an Oracle database, and written in Java, allowed managers to compare the 50 to 150 presenters' schedules with those of the several hundred petitioning attendees to make thousands of half-hour, 1-on-1 meetings.

The database updated live and sent out emails and itineraries to all participants automatically.

And it looked good doing it.
