| By
early 2000, leading up to the Riptide IPO, Doug had consulted in
general Internet strategies, the revision of the phase-one and phase-two
SkyMall sites, the development of the SkyMall DVD, the re-branding
of the SkyMall group along with positioning statement and marketing
strategy work, the development of the SkyMall re-financing road
show and the development of a variety of high-end, animated multi-media
corporate and investor relations presentations.
He
was responsible for the design, development and launch (on time
and under budget) of SkyMall Travel, print advertising for the two
sites, and the development of a range of internal management aids,
timeline project posters and collateral for the growth of the firm.
He
was also a keynote speaker at the annual SkyMall partner retreat.
SkyMall
made a bid to acquire 50% of Riptide and secured by warrant and
convertible note the right of first refusal for one year. The note
was acquired by Etinuum, which eventually acquired Riptide as part
of a four-way merger that lead to an IPO in April 2000.
Everything
from print ads to multimedia presentations and motivational posters
were executed on time, within budget and to a standard of excellence
seldom seen from a medium scale communications firm.
