company Doug was CEO of, Riptide, merged in 1999 with three companies
to form Digital Lighthouse, which went public in early 2000. Riptide
became the Internet Strategies Group for the entity, and was tasked
with developing strategies by which Lighthouse would quickly take
a premier position in the emergent e-business space.
The
firm's focus was on technological support of customer relationship
management. Core technologies included a robust e-commerce engine
and sophisticated CRM suite, backed by an intuitive Knowledge Management
solution and a global customer contact center operation.
The
team defined and formalized a comprehensive suite of professional
services in support of the firm's core technology. The USP was communicated
by multimedia presentations, a web site, trade show presence and
print campaigns, and Lighthouse quickly found market acceptance.
Strategic
relationships with Sony, Visa and Merrill Lynch were extended by
Doug and his team, and accounted for a large part of the firms $40
Million turnover in 1999/2000. |
