| Shortly
after the less-than-successful initial public offering of Riptide
/ Digital Lighthouse stock, Doug joined forces for a few months
of consulting with Direct Marketer John Mathewson, and New York
advertising services group, Graphic Systems. The group worked together
loosely under the business name Fast Forward Consulting.
One
of the consulting gigs the team was engaged for was with Maybelline
New York. For this project, as with several others, Doug also employed
the knowledge, creative prowess and intellect of intranet savant,
Katie Lukas, CEO of StickyData.
Maybelline
marketing wanted to explore the development, outside of Maybelline's
global IT channels, of a marketing intranet, to be employed as a
sophisticated worldwide image server for Maybelline's massive print
marketing needs.
To
educate the marketing department regarding emergent and established
technologies, Dod designed a two day seminar, supported by a printed
glossary and an interactive intranet primer.
