second generation of Riptide brand imaging came late in 1998 when
Doug wanted to differentiate the firm from the new wave of tech-only
web developers.

creative motif of various color coded animals (red butterfly for
creative services, bee for account management and operations, frog
for strategic services and blue butterfly for technology services)
was deployed.
The
logo was reduced to a crisp edged lower case letter "R"
rendered in american typewriter font, within a circle. The fluorescent
orange background was interchangeable, depending on company division
or specialization.
