A robust security solution was part of the Visible intelligence platform. A three server firewall and secure communications solution resided within the Riptide VPN (virtual Private Network). This consisted of Packet Filtering, Firewall (wide area and local) and VPN servers.

Features were objects within java bean tree, each easily administered and customized, and access was effected utilizing PKI (Public Key Infrastructure) protocols.
