Convergence enabled conference managers to drag and drop appointments between thousands of conference attendees and hundreds of conference presenters for 1-on-1 meetings. These meetings typically last less than half an hour, and cost the conference organizers upward of $250,000 a year in extra co-ordination, software licensing and temp staffing costs.

riptide software effectively allows any one person to perform the task normally allocated to three managers and a team of up to eight temporary conference coordinators.
