| When
ProteoMetrics hired Doug as joint CEO in 2001, the bioinformatics
firm had a robust and powerful core software application; RADARS.
supported by a small stable of client app's. Over the first few
months of that year, Doug redeveloped the interface, moved the application
from open source databases to Oracle 9i, and refined the demon/agent
protocols for greatly increased efficiency and massive scaling through
distributed application serving.
The
Relational database was successfully ported within eight weeks and
the agent controllers and administrators received new, accessible
interfaces with modular components for simple customizing.
The
custom XML, BioML was already developed, but a set of standards
and admin documentation were developed after the fact to support
client management.
