While the customer-centric destination component may at first glance appear to be a web site, actually it was an integrated application, run on a Web Services platform, utilizing Simple Object Access Protocols (SOAP) and was the precursor for a robust business web procurement system which Riptide developed later on (independently).

The portal featured a network of merchant storefronts, linked by a common cart and checkout solution. The difference between other such referral solutions and the POS system was that this solution presented a contiguous interface, branded by the host merchant, right through the transaction process, and even collated customer history"silos" for each merchant.
