| The
content management server was linked via API's written to various
provider specs. The CRM solution offered community features to the
consumer, such as a history of their orders, preference-targeted
shopping suggestions, travel, health news and other preference targeted
content (via the content management servers) and lifetime value
and history of customer for the merchant-side store managers.
Various
stats and e-business features were built in for VISA management
as well as store management.
For
manageability and scaleability, individual server applications resided
on a dedicated, clustered suite of app servers, and were managed
by agents (communicating via proprietary XMLs).
The
transaction server was nestled in a very secure network, somewhere
in San Jose ... or Foster City, or Richmond, we Forget exactly where.
