Welcome to my site
Home of wildlife watercolor portraits, mostly of endangered species and mostly of actual animals I have met and engaged with, during my time in South East Asia and Australasia, and more recently, my seven years living and traveling across Kenya, where I met and befriended the founders and senior managers of several conservancies, trusts and sanctuaries, and where I encountered, interacted with and spent many hours getting to know, sketching and photographing the subjects of many of my paintings.

I was diagnosed with esophageal Junction cancer three years ago, and after having my esophagus surgically removed the cancer metastasized to my lungs and lymph nodes, so I’ll be on heavy chemotherapy for the rest of my (dramatically shortened) life (My life expectancy probability is 3-5% chance of greater than 5 years).
I want to contribute to causes I believe in before I die, so I’m launching an online store here to sell framed and unframed originals, giclée, archival, signed-and-numbered limited-edition (sets of 250) prints, framed and unframed poster prints, and printed clothing and merchandise (including eco tote bags, phone cases and 520 piece jigsaw puzzles from my award winning art.
25% of proceeds from each sale goes directly to the wildlife conservancy, trust or sanctuary that is home or a conservation organization dedicated to the animal portrayed.

There ar eless than 100 mountain bongos left in the wild, scattered around the foothills of Mount Kenya, but I was fortunate enough to spend time with nearly a dozen, including several calves, at the Mount Kenya Wildlife Trust and Orphanage, where dedicated staff are running a successful rescue and breeding program.
Taita thrush, (Turdus helleri).
Kenya’s rarest bird. Less than 100 breeding pairs remain, isolated in the rainforests of the taita hills in Meru county.
